Quantitative analysis of precipitation, air temperature, air humidity and wind speed: microclimate study

ABSTRACT The study of rainfall rate and physical variables such as temperature, air humidity and wind speed in delimited areas, such as university campus, is necessary for the knowledge of the uplift or not of architectural units in these locations. The objective of this work was to quantify the rainfall, temperature and humidity of the air and wind speed and the interference of natural and anthropic barriers after the uplift in Campus VI, of the University of the State of Pará, Paragominas (PA). The method applied was deductive, with quantitative coverage and exploratory procedure. The data obtained and analyzed indicated that from February 18 to March 17, 2019, the accumulated value for the precipitation rate was equivalent to 2143.1 mm; the air temperature showed a tendency to decrease (25.5°C to 23.8°C), while the air humidity behaved inversely (90.1% to 91.5%), the same occurred with the wind speed (0.2 to 0.4 m/s). Therefore, it is noted that architectural barriers, both in the vicinity and afforestation, as well as in the interior of Campus VI, caused oscillations in the measurements of the environmental parameters analyzed.
